SMPRP Congratulates the passers of the recently concluded Residency Completion Exam

Residency Completion Exam

The Society of Medical Physicists in the Republic of the Philippines (SMPRP) congratulates the seven (7) Radiation Oncology Medical Physics (ROMP) and three (3) Diagnostic Radiology Medical Physics (DRMP) residents who successfully passed their residency completion exam last August 05, 2023.

The said completion exam was simultaneously done at two separate venues — Jose Reyes Medical Center, Sta. Cruz, Manila for the ROMP and East Avenue Medical Center, Diliman, Quezon City for the DRMP. The examinees went through written, oral, and practical examinations. The ROMP residents had one on one sessions with the examiner per station. Each station measured different competencies for ROMP. Meanwhile, for the DRMP residents, after finishing their written examinations, they went through a panel discussion with the examiners for their oral/practical examination.

The supervisors of the examinees were also present during the completion program. They were tasked as scribes during the oral examinations. The schedule for the certification examination of the Board Certified Medical Physicist will soon be announced. Furthermore, the SMPRP will also soon release the important dates to note for the new batch of the residency program.
