The Society of Medical Physicists in the Republic of the Philippines, Inc. (SMPRP) invites you to the 2nd episode of the SMPRP Medical Physics Monthly webinar series, happening this September 26, 2024, at 7 PM Philippine time.
This brand new episode will highlight the latest advancements and research in Nuclear Medicine Physics featuring Ms. Shalaine S. Tatu-Qassim and her latest research on application of Samarium-153 microspheres in theranostic liver cancer treatment.
Ms. Tatu-Qassim is a senior science research specialist at the Radiation Research Center of the Philippine Nuclear Research Institute, Department of Science and Technology (PNRI-DOST), and PhD candidate at Taylor's University in Malaysia. She is also a fellow of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) Global Research Mentorship Program (2023-2024). Her research interests and expertise involve nuclear medicine, radiobiology, radiation dosimetry, small animal and cell culture radiation research, micro- and Nanotechnology, Monte Carlo simulation, and 3D printing techniques.
This event will be hosted by Ms. Nikkitita Magdaong, SMPRP secretary, and will be moderated by Mr. Jae Inamarga, SMPRP Vice-president.
